Wireless Internet Information
Who can get Wireless Service?
Anyone with LOS (line of sight) to one of our towers and in the range of the signal can recieve our Wireless Service.
Wireless technology has the capabilities to travel many kilometers with the right equipment.
This means it is available to people in many rural areas.
Both businesses and consumers will benefit greatly from a high speed 24 hr connection.
- Direct 24-hr Internet Access is Always On.
- Does not require a phone line.
- Upload and Download speed is the same.
A wireless reciever unit will need to be installed on the exterior of your building to receive the Internet signal.
From there, a cable must be run inside to a room of your choice.
The cable plugs into a power supply (POE Injector). From the POE Injector we supply a yellow network cable that can plug directly
into most computers. If you wish to have your own WIFI network inside your house, then you must supply your own wireless router.
Installation of the receiver unit is included with up to 100 feet of exterior grade cable. Once the system is installed, our installer will test
the Internet connection. At that time he will hand you the yellow cable so that you may plug it into your computer or network.
- Not all packages are available in all areas.
- All prices are before tax, for total cost please add 12% BC tax.
-
† Availability of Internet packages and service may vary by location, modem equipment, or residential wiring.
Internet download speed is based on optimal conditions.
-
If your home is in an area where trees will block your wireless Internet signal,
we have specialized equipment that may allow you to connect, but only the standard residential package may be available.
-
**Bandwidth refers to the capacity - uplink and downlink - of the connection from your computer into our network.
The actual speed and capacity of traffic to another site will vary depending on the amount of traffic and congestion
on the global Internet as well as other factors not controlled by China Creek Internet.
-
Some of our subscribers have indicated an interest in using the network for VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol),
which uses the Internet to make telephone calls. VOIP is a useful service that can save money on long distance telephone calls,
but it is not recommended as a complete replacement for regular telephone service because internet congestion,
power outages, or system downtime could leave you without VOIP service or with poor quality telephone service.
China Creek Internet can not guarantee 100% availability for VOIP service.
